Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata)

Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata) is an Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicinal herb. Andrographis has been found to be an effective anti-biotic, anti-viral and immune system stimulant. Andrographis is being increasingly used as treatment for colds. Reasonably good evidence tells us that it can reduce the severity of cold symptoms. Andrographis may also help prevent colds. The key constituents of andrographis are thought to be a group of diterpene lactones, including andrographolide, neoandrographolide, deoxyandrographolide, and deoxydidehydroandrographolide.
